About Us

Harmony Riders is a 'not-for-profit' group of people sharing similar interests (namely horses, trail riding, the outdoors and having fun) and getting together to enjoy a day out. We have strong family values and we welcome all ages, the old and young, male and female, singles or families.

We host 5 horse shows throughout the Summer to support the grounds. We have an exceptional outdoor arena for this area, and many other horse groups such as the Oswego County 4H and the National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA), use our facilities during the Spring, Summer, and Fall. So, it's a busy place in the riding seasons.

Our permanent members are welcome to use the grounds and arena whenever they wish, assuming there isn't a planned event already taking place on the date they desire to use the facility. Please check the calendar for open dates - or email us to check for reservations.

Early meetings and horse shows of the organization were held in various locations throughout Oswego County.

In 1957 a building fund was started to establish a permanent club facility. On May 29, 1959 one hundred acres of land was purchased on Shetler Road in Parish, NY from the heirs of the late Jim Shelter, for the sum of one dollar. In 1960 the clubhouse was built. The pole barn was built in 1968. In 1994 the upper barn was built. Improvements to the facility is an ongoing commitment to the membership.

Members can enjoy creating wonderful memories of summer camping with their families, evenings around a campfire, fishing in the nearby stream, and horse ridingĀ on the Harmony grounds.

Open Horse Shows are held throughout the season with carded Judges, as well as organized trail rides and Family Fun Shows.

The club has always been maintained as a family oriented organization.

Food and beverages are sold in our clubhouse kitchen during events.
